GastroLab India is a diagnostics company focused on the digestive tract: importing and distributing non-invasive, point-of-care GI tests to gastroenterologists and laboratories across India, since 2015.
The thesis
Indian gastroenterology has excellent diagnosis. What's under-served is stratification before symptoms. Chronic atrophic gastritis — linked to peptic ulcer and gastric cancer (Sipponen & Marshall, Gastroenterol Clin North Am 2000;29:579-92) — is silent, and scoping every dyspeptic isn't feasible at India's volumes. Colorectal cancer is highly screenable, yet screening is often run as occasional tests rather than a recall programme.
Non-invasive tools change this: a serological panel can flag the atrophic stomach; a FIT-based programme can find colorectal risk early. We curate and support the diagnostics that let clinicians and labs act earlier — risk-stratification before the scope.
